Condo Complex opens in Suburbs of Chicago

If you missed our official grand opening at Darlington Court Condominiums, don't worry, you missed some great food but the party continues to roll on.

Delicious beef sandwiches...pasta...hot dogs...salads...bite-sized brownies by the handful...all from Chicago's very own Portillo's. Sigh. Excuse us, it's getting a little too close to lunchtime today for such fond memories.

But even though the great eats are gone, there's still plenty to celebrate at Darlington Court Condominiums. Through June 30, we're offering two great incentives: One year of pre-paid assessments and a 2% closing cost credit!

These incentives can be worth thousands to you. They're a great way to get started on a place of your own, or on the purchase of an investment condo.

Call 866-696-2266 today to learn more. Our Customer Care representatives are available to assist you every day of the week.

TWO PATRIOTIC CHICAGO CONDO SALES AGENTS PUT ON THE HOLIDAY SPOTLIGHT

Thanks to two of our most enterprising condo sales associates, OwnACondo.com got noticed in a big way at the July Fourth parade in Wheeling, Illinois, where the company exclusively represents a major development, Pine Hill Condominiums at 500 Manda Lane.

With the company’s big box truck just days out of the shop, sporting awesome new graphics courtesy of staff designer Krystyna Kowalczyk, sales agents Denice Gherardini and Julie Evensen entered it in the parade and then went to work making sure it was the most-noticed vehicle in the event. Of course, the truck’s rather imposing size didn’t hurt.
Helped by various family members, Denice and Julie affixed pennants and flags all around and equipped the cab with company brochures and giveaways to be handed out on the parade route.

“People lined up all along the road,” says Julie of the perfect summer day, “and everyone was in a really festive mood. It was just fantastic.”
The crowd was tickled at the sight of Denice’s children, walking alongside the slow-moving procession, handing our brochures and business cards.

“We were all calling out the name of Pine Hill Condominiums and the incentives available, even the kids,” says Julie with a laugh.
But perhaps the best moment came as the truck passed the reviewing stand. Julie remembers the judge proclaiming over the loudspeakers “Here’s

OwnACondo.com! You’ve seen the name everywhere, the best place to buy and sell condos!”
Thanks, judge. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

There’s no better opportunity to roll out pride and spirit than a good, old-fashioned Independence Day parade.

It’s Official: Chicago’s South Loop is Red Hot!

As if anyone needed more convincing, Chicago's South Loop has just been dubbed the "hottest neighborhood in the country" by our friends at Chicago Magazine. That's right, folks, the entire country.

"Booming Chicago real estate, hip restaurants, exploding population" shouts the big and bold cover of the June, 2007 edition now on the streets. Turn inside and enjoy 10 full pages of photos, stories and profiles. There's even a walking tour!

OwnACondo.com is pleased to be in the thick of things in the South Loop. We are proud to be representing 15th Street Lofts, right on State Street, at 1503 South. We're also representing a fantastic individual condo at 1841 S. Calumet with a stunning lakefront view.

Newcomers and even long-time city residents may wonder about the boundaries of South Loop. Like any new community that is emerging from a completely different landscape, the boundaries are sometimes liquid and debateable. Chicago Magazine, however, offers an apt description: Congress Parkway on the north, Cermak Road on the south, the lakefront on the east and the Chicago River on the west. Will this change? Probably. But that's the nature of a growing neighborhood.

As a lifelong Chicagoan, your OwnACondo.com blog editor recalls the South Loop in the early 1980s while working a delivery job in college. The change has been remarkable, from aging and often unutilized warehouses, rusty railroad yards and crumbling infrastructure to new lofts, skyscrapers and trendy eateries. Do you have a story about South Loop, then or now? Share it here, but let's not just trip down memory lane, let's plan a visit to South Loop soon!
